Permissions and sharing#
VTune separates instance access, track ownership, group membership, queue authorization, and Discord playback controls.
Library ownership#
A library track has exactly one owner and begins private. The owner can grant the track to zero or more groups without creating a copy. Group members can browse and queue granted tracks but receive no media download endpoint.
Groups#
Groups are invite-only. Owners manage membership, invitations, shared tracks, ownership transfer, and deletion. Removing membership or a grant immediately revalidates active queues.
Queue authorization#
VTune checks access when a library track is queued and again when playback begins. The requester must still have access and must be present in the selected Discord voice channel. Every Discord server has a separate in-memory queue.
DJ controls#
The configured DJ role can pause, resume, move, shuffle, loop, set volume, stop, clear, and disconnect. Requesters and vote thresholds may allow narrower actions such as skip according to the active server settings.
Instance administration#
Instance administrators invite or suspend accounts and may inspect or delete content for moderation. Moderation visibility does not automatically grant permission to queue another member's private track.
